Join in one or all of the great 30-min advocacy sessions. Hear insights on advocacy achievements in 2021, civic engagement and public service at MSU Denver, “myth busters,” MSU Denver’s 2022 state and federal priorities and a conversation with Patricia Ordaz, MSU Denver alumna and former legislative aide to U.S. Senator Kamala Harris.

The 2021 Legislator of the Year and recipients of the Champion of the Year awards will also be celebrated.

This inaugural event will highlight what it means for MSU Denver to be an HSI and the University’s HSI committee’s local and national advocacy priorities.

This event will cover topics related to National Electoral Institute’s presentation.

MSU Denver, Colorado Mesa University and Adams State University are partnering to raise awareness of the value and economic impact in educating first-gen students and the programs and services that help them succeed.  First-gen students are invited to join us at the Colorado State Capitol to meet legislators, share their stories and advocate for first-gen support.
